An Apple Fest Blossoms
Taste the flowering of a new season at a bigger, bolder
Cider Rite of Spring on April 6th

Can words describe the first breath of spring? Treat your senses to a fresh awakening and find the enticing joy of fruit and flowers at the 2019 Cider Rite of Spring. Taste from over 100 unique ciders from the Northwest’s boldest and best cidermakers. From the floral and field flavors in freshly-tapped casks of heritage cider to ciders blended with flowers and botanicals from Mountain Rose Herbs, this year the Cider Rite of Spring is bursting with new ideas and delicious new tastes.

Tickets are now on sale for the spring cider fest – named Sip Magazine’s Best Northwest Cider Festival. Over thirty cidermakers and cidery representatives will pour their hearts out as they share over 100 unique cider creations in the beautifully renovated historic event space at the Leftbank Annex. Doors will open at 12pm for VIP attendees and General Admission will start at 1pm.

Cider lovers and the cider-curious are invited to discover their new favorite drink as cidermakers like 2 Towns Ciderhouse, Finnriver Farm and Cidery, and McMenamins share their fresh spring seasonal releases. Cider aficionados can dig into the earthy craft of traditional cider making in the new Heritage Cider Hall, which will feature traditionally made and naturally fermented ciders from cidermakers like Dragon’s Head Cider, Snowdrift Cider, and Art+Science. All attendees will receive 8 tasting tickets and a commemorative glass and everyone is invited to take home a new cider to share with their friends and family at the pop-up cider store!

“The cider industry is blooming, and this year the Cider Rite of Spring will be bigger than ever!” says NW Cider Association Executive Director Emily Ritchie. “At the Leftbank Annex, we have the chance to share a wider selection of ciders with more people than ever before. Whether you are fresh to cider or have a heritage apple orchard of your own, you’ll find something new to love at this year’s Cider Rite of Spring.”

Cider Rite of Spring is presented by Whole Foods Market and supported by FruitSmart, Mountain Rose Herbs, CiderCraft Magazine, McMenamins 23rd Avenue Bottle Shop, and Live Oak Bank. The VIP lounge is sponsored by Davis Wright Tremaine. Attendees must be 21 years old.
